Illicit Spirits Blacklist Gin
This Gin was produced with peat-smoked juniper berries and a smokey blend of botanicals including black cardamom, Lapsang souchong tea, and black peppercorn by the Illicit Spirits team in Glasgow. It also contains activated charcoal, which darkens the spirit!
The Blacklist Gin from Illicit Spirits, distilled just south of the River Clyde, is the first Scottish Gin to incorporate smoked peat, more often associated with whisky manufacturing. Juniper, coriander and angelica were smoked for 8 hours over peat for the Gin's bare botanicals. The smoke caught in the still was also used to distill the macerated botanicals.
